London Free Activities
Are you located in or around London? There is plenty for you to do that does not cost a dime! If you are interested in going on a date or simply want to have fun, try one of the following ideas.
A simple idea that can be quite romantic is to head over to Bushy Park to have a picnic. If you plan to go when it is cold out, bring a warm beverage rather than a full meal. Sip your drink and walk through the park, taking time to chat with your date as you make your way through the grounds. Bushy Park is over a thousand acres and it has a number of beautiful fountains. It is not unusual to see deer there as well. Pedestrians can walk in to enjoy the park at any time of the day, while cars are restricted after dusk.
Visit Kenwood House and turn back the hands of time. Not many people know about this piece of architecture, which has a beautiful artwork collection as well as amazing gardens. You can also check out a variety of London museums, many of which are free! London has high prices in general, but museums are one exception to that rule. You can find something to interest just about anyone, so take your time and explore all your options.
For example, if you are interested in history and war, go to the Imperial War Museum. While it may not be romantic, it is interesting, and it is a great way to immerse yourself in historical events. The British museum is another option. It contains millions of artefacts, so no matter how many times you go, you are sure to see and experience something new at every visit.
The National Gallery is filled with amazing artwork. Trafalgar Square is a bonus; when you are finished walking through the museum, you can take in free entertainment to extend your afternoon or evening out. Also, if you enjoy art, don’t forget about Tate Modern. It makes the perfect place for a date, because the exhibits are typically interactive.
If you enjoying learning about the world, make it a point to get over to the Science Museum! These exhibits are also interactive, and you will learn a little something while you are at it as well.
